Explore!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Kiwanis StoryWalk\u00ae is an initiative of the Kiwanis Club of Tampa<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/span> designed to encourage literacy, physical activity, and family time in our community.<\/span><\/p>\n StoryWalk\u00ae brings the joy of reading outdoors by displaying the pages of a children\u2019s storybook along a walking path. Families can walk together from page to page, reading the story as they go. It\u2019s a fun way to get moving, enjoy the outdoors, and build a love of reading\u2014all at the same time!<\/span><\/p>\n The original Kiwanis StoryWalk\u00ae at Al Lopez Park<\/strong> was funded, installed, and continues to be maintained by the Kiwanis Club of Tampa. Thanks to generous funding from the Children\u2019s Board of Hillsborough County<\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/span>, the program has expanded to four additional parks throughout the community, bringing this literacy experience to even more children and families.<\/span><\/p>\n We invite you to find a StoryWalk\u00ae near you, grab your family, and take a walk through a great story!<\/span><\/p>\n Kiwanis StoryWalks are located at the following parks:<\/span><\/p>\n Kiwanis volunteers from all over Hillsborough County change out the stories each month! Share a book. Make reading a part of every visit!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n The Kiwanis Book Nook is a special little library where children and families can discover a new story to enjoy. Located inside the recreation centers at two of our Kiwanis StoryWalk\u00ae parks, the Book Nooks give families a cozy place to sit down and read\u2014or choose a book to take home.<\/span><\/p>\n Families are welcome to stay and read a story together<\/strong>, take a book home to enjoy, or bring a gently loved book from home to share with another child on their next visit.<\/span><\/p>\n The Kiwanis Club of Tampa<\/a><\/span><\/span> <\/strong>is proud to make books freely available to children in our community and to encourage a simple idea: when we share books, we share the joy of reading.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Kiwanis Book Nooks are located at the following parks:<\/span><\/p>\n Kiwanis volunteers keep the library freshly stocked with books. They sponsor several High School Key Clubs<\/strong> and a Circle K<\/strong> Club<\/strong> at USF to encourage leadership development. Their Terrific Kids<\/strong> program encourages good character in elementary students.
